Introduction:
As per the National Education Policy 2020, recommendations have been made to ensure that students complete secondary and higher secondary education after universalization of primary education. The state government has done very effective work for 100% enrollment and settlement of students in primary education and also in the direction of girl child education. The Department of Education has made several efforts to ensure that more girls are enrolled in secondary and higher secondary and complete their studies up to class 12. Along with secondary and higher secondary education, there is a need to improve nutrition and health of adolescent girls. It was under the consideration of the government to provide financial assistance to adolescent girls so that they get adequate nutrition along with education and empower them.

The present proposal is being carefully considered and the scheme for providing financial assistance to female students studying in Secondary and Higher Secondary in the State is made to be implemented subject to the following conditions.
1. Name of Scheme:
The name of the scheme will be Khamo Lakshmi Yojana.
Eligibility of the Candidate:
Students studying in secondary and higher secondary in schools recognized by the State Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) are eligible for assistance subject to the following eligibility 28
#) Having completed class VIII in a state government or aided primary school and admitted to class IX OR
b) Admitted under RTE to a recognized private primary school in the state
Having completed the study of Mr. 8 and got admission in the standard, Ath
c) Other than (a) and (b) above, female students who have got admission in Class C after completing Class-8 and whose family income is less than Rs.6 lakh per annum
Support available
Under the BA scheme, every female student who is eligible after completing secondary and higher secondary studies will get a total of Rs. 50,000/- assistance available as under

Standard: And 10th gardener total Rs. 20,000/- will be paid along with This Mahay Paiki in 9th and 10th standard for 10 months during the academic year is Rs. 500/- per annum Rs. 5,000/- according to both the year's gardener totaling Rs. 10,000/- will be paid. While the remaining Rs. 10,000/- will be available after passing the board exam of class 10th.
b) Clothing 11 and 12 received total Rs. 10,000/- assistance will be paid. Among these Malays in 11th and 12th standard for 10 months during the academic year according to the owner 2 750/- per annum Rs. 7,500/- according to both the years received total Rs. 15,000/- will be paid. Procedure for payment of assistance amount
1. The Directorate shall be the schools as the implementing authority of this scheme.
2. A separate wound for the smooth running of this aid scheme by the Director, Schools
Lakshmi portal has to be created.
Payment of financial assistance under this scheme is direct benefit by the Director, Schools
Transfer (DST) will be made to the bank account of the student's mother
In case the student's mother is not alive. In that case the amount to the student's bank account
will be deposited.
From the beginning of the academic year, the state schools admitted students from class 9 to 12 in their school
CTS (Child Taking System) under the Center for Student Enrollment
It has to be done in Potel.
5. The Director, Schools shall verify the registration and eligibility of the female students on the CTS portal through the concerned District Education Officer and thereafter the list of eligible female students shall be uploaded on the Namo Lakshmi portal.
6. Eligible students have to deposit the amount of June assistance in the respective bank account in the month of June as far as possible from the commencement of the academic session, otherwise the amount of June, July assistance has to be deposited in the respective bank account at the same time in late July.
7. Thereafter the amount of assistance for the remaining months during the academic year will be deposited in the bank account of the concerned student's mother or student till the 10th of that month.
8. If the girl students studying in class 8 to 11 in the academic year 2023-24 get admission in class 9 to 12 for the academic year 2024-25, they will also be eligible to benefit under this scheme. For that, the eligibility criteria of these students will be the same as mentioned in para-2.
9. Wherever necessary spot checks on the attendance of girl students will be conducted by the officials of the Education Department without any intimation to the school. During which the assistance of the students whose attendance is not maintained at an average of 80% in the previous months will be stopped.
10. If a student leaves the school mid-term for any reason, in such cases further aid amount will not be admissible and the aid amount paid to the student will not be refunded.
11. In case of repeat student the aid of that standard shall not be paid more than once. If the student continues further studies then the aid will be available in the next standard as per rules. This assistance will be available to the repeater students of the year 2024-25 based on their eligibility as per the type of school in which they have studied in class-8.
3/5 12. Assistance admissible on passing the Board Examination shall be admissible whenever after passing the Board Examination, in cases where the student passes the Board Examination in more than one attempt, the assistance shall be admissible at the time of passing the Board Examination.
13. Even if the student is getting the benefit of scholarship under any other scheme of the Govt., the benefit of this scheme will be available as an additional benefit.
6. Other Matters:
The Education Department or the Director, Schools may decide and issue necessary ancillary instructions for the proper implementation of this resolution.
The implementation of this scheme has to be done from the academic year 2024-25.
